Work has been very good about it, they gave me a good redundancy pay, and have been very supportive of my emotional self. Some days I look back and wonder whether I didn’t get the better deal, tough times for my wonderful EyeforChem and FC, but I hope they make it, I really do, such a unique working experience, the certainly deserve the break. So turning this around to my advantage, as only you have to in these circumstances, I have been writing a list of all the things I would like to do before I leave London, all those things that I have never gotten around to, like visiting Kew Gardens, going to Chicago and other musicals, theatre, Greenwich, boat down the Thames, etc etc, any suggestions?
Carole (my stepmum) was here for a couple of days which was awesome, we went to the V&A (Victoria & Albert Museum) for the Versace exhibition, what an amazing man – I’m not so fond of a lot of his stuff - but I recognise his brilliance with materials and experimentation. And we also had time to do the London Eye which was on my list of must dos – wicked, I really do love London for its look, the amazing buildings and monuments – the way they sprawl, and of course the wonderful parks… Big kudos!! – to Carole who has a bit of a thing with heights, as she did fantastically.
So far I have managed to fill my days with stuff that I have needed to do for months/years, mending, cleaning, organising and the all important sorting, booking and buying of the ticket that will get me to South America next year. Well finally it is done, and for those of you who may be in the region I will be in Bankok Feb 4,5,6, and Taipei 7,8,9,10, and would love to catch up with anyone in the area!!! Hint, hint.
Well, gotta get back to my bathroom curtain mending, but I will be keeping you all up to date regularly for a little while, unless miracles of miracles someone gives me a job… love and smiles :o) Maria
